I’m a researcher, designer and innovator, passionate about solving problems and impacting people through empathetic research, design, and social innovation. I enjoy using my skills and human-centered approach to identify problems and uncover insights that lead to solutions that truly make a difference in peoples’ lives.
MY JOURNEY – WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO
I first fell in love with qualitative research working within the advertising industry. I enjoyed the challenge that came with learning about people, synthesizing data and uncovering insights to form a strong communication strategy. However, as I collected data on people’s values, wants and needs, I saw an opportunity to do more than market products that already exist. I saw an opportunity for innovation – to work with people to improve products, processes or services to solve problems and make lives easier. From then on, I searched for ways to use my skills to make a difference in people’s lives – big or small.
Whether I am conducting research to enhance an interface, interviewing individuals to uncover problems to solve, or facilitating a workshop to improve internal processes, my focus is on the users. How might we work together to make their lives easier?
MY LIFE OUTSIDE OF WORK
